The cup features the characteristic scalloped pattern of Bavaria, drawn only in black, and a combination of modern and classic with gorgeous crimson roses and purple clematis, making it a truly charming cup. Is the absence of a saucer a drawback? No, because saucers were originally attached to protect the table from hot drinks. I prefer to use my favorite lace doilies or fabric mats with just the cup, rather than having more dishes to wash. So, when I find a cup I like while traveling, I'm happy to buy it even if it doesn't have a saucer for some reason. This time, it's only the cup, so I've paired it with a wonderful petit point organza mat (maybe a handkerchief) that is a treasure of Austria, in a refreshing mint green color. I've put together this combination with a feeling of excitement, hoping you will enjoy tea in early summer. I love ceramic cups, especially those made in Germany, which are robust and elegant, as symbolized by Bavaria. I have been collecting them. This cup also features a rare black trimming and a collaboration with vibrant Rose Clematis flowers, a truly stylish combination of modern and medieval elegance. I have not used it. It has been stored in a glass cabinet. The beauty of the shine, the transparency of the white skin, the handle that looks like a rose leaf, and the overly delicate frills of the rim. The cuteness of all these balances. The set includes a young leaf green organza with careful and detailed petit point embroidery. The oval transparency around the embroidery is also really wonderful.
