This is a firing method we challenged to bring out a gold color on the brushstrokes, excluding overglaze painting. The brick color of the pot is due to the absorption of carbon, which turned it red. This is a firing method that is rarely used except by ceramic artists. The pot itself is safe for direct fire and can be used as is. (No need for sealing) Not compatible with IH.
