I went yarn shopping because I wanted to knit a Sophie Hood. This is baby cashmere, a special find. I've knitted about four items in the Sophie series with other yarns, but this little scarf was so good that I started knitting, thinking I'd like to take my time and knit a really special scarf. I'm using two strands of yarn with a 4mm needle, and the pattern is "The Holiday" by Miki Teragaki. Please refer to the gauge, etc. The sample is not included in the product. It's not itchy, it's fluffy and light, and I really recommend this yarn for around the face and neck. It's very light and fluffy and soft. It doesn't itch even when held against the neck. The thickness doesn't look much different from Opal 4-ply, but it's fluffy. It has 350m per 50g. I wonder if it will make a lighter piece... I've included comparison images. The cream color is three strands with a 5mm needle. The blue-gray is two strands with a 5mm needle. The orange-brown is one strand with a 3.5mm needle.
