Tsuzure-ori is a woven fabric in which tightly stretched warp threads are woven densely while wrapping with loosely passed weft threads, resulting in a finish where only the weft threads are visible on the surface of the fabric. Weavers of tsuzure use the tips of their nails, which are cut into a comb shape, to gather the threads, which is why it is also called "tsumegaki" (nail scratching). Hand-woven items are called Hon-tsuzure, and machine-woven items are called Mon-tsuzure. Since there is no certification paper, please refrain from purchasing if you are concerned. I bought it at a considerable price. ★ The base color is off-white, and I think the first image is the closest. ★ The stiffness of the obi is almost standard, and I think it is an easy-to-handle obi even for beginners. ★ I have noticed a very small, faint stain on one side of the front abdomen.
