This is a large Imabari ware plate, a designated intangible cultural property of Ehime Prefecture. With a Showa retro feel, this plate has a simple design that can be used for both Western and Japanese cuisine. It's a beautiful piece that looks great whether you serve simmered fish, sashimi, vegetables, or salad on it.
