● Seigado-made custom order masterpiece, one-of-a-kind, Western Masashi's old work, hammered copper kensui (water container), silver knob, snap pea decorative knob, hammered copperware, brief history leaflet, with original box, diameter 18cm, 986g (Tube A) Seigado was founded in Yahiko Village, Niigata Prefecture in 1945 by the first generation, Minori Nishikata, and is a hammered copper workshop that rivals Gyokudo. This work is a custom-made, one-of-a-kind piece by the second generation, Masashi Nishikata, and is a very rare, large kensui. It is slightly larger than a typical kensui, and is a piece made by hand-hammering thick copper, giving it a soft form unique to hand-hammering. The lid has a decorative knob made of silver, perhaps a snap pea, which is very individual, unique, and playful. Based on the brief history leaflet, it is thought to have been made around the 1990s. It is probably a one-of-a-kind work. It is not new and has some signs of use. Please take a close look at the photos before purchasing. Please refer to the scale in the photos for the size. If you have any questions, please ask as soon as possible.
