I made a stole pin using vintage Izumi glass. The cabochon is a chic blue, and its expression changes depending on the light. It's made of glass that imitates opal, and it's very beautiful. This vintage glass cabochon was obtained from a relative of a glass craftsman from Izumi, Osaka. The factory collapsed in a typhoon in 2018, and they closed the factory at that time, gradually selling off the remaining vintage glass. It's a great pity that such beautiful cabochons will no longer be made. I think there are few vintage cabochons with such a clear origin. I hope to be able to pass it on to someone who will cherish it, including this story, and I believe that the craftsman and his relative would be happy.
