Two long plates from the Hasami-yaki kiln, Rizaemon Gama. I love the plates from this kiln and have been collecting them little by little every year. Oval shape. The color is a mix of gray and beige, with a brushstroke pattern. There's a subtle floral pattern, perhaps called "Hana Mishima." I was able to purchase them at a discount during a pottery fair for about 3700 yen each. The regular price might be close to 5000 yen. Width: Approximately 33cm Height: Approximately 17cm Depth: Approximately 3cm I fell in love with them at first sight, but I haven't been able to use long plates effectively, so they've been sitting in my cupboard. Used only once. I would be happy if I could pass them on to someone who will use them often.
