On the black lacquer, an abstract leaf vein pattern is carefully applied using the chinkin (gold inlay) technique, extending to the sides of the obi-dome (sash clip). Perfect for auspicious occasions and opportunities to wear a gorgeous kimono. It also has a pin, so it can be used as a brooch. I opened the package to take photos. The outer packaging has been opened and resealed with tape. I purchased many with the intention of using them, but I would like to sell this one. Ryukyu Lacquerware was a long-established lacquerware store that had been producing beautiful art with techniques such as Tsuikin (layered lacquer) and modern designs for 130 years. In 2021, it closed down, much to everyone's regret. With fewer artisans and the use of natural wood and genuine lacquer, Ryukyu lacquerware has become increasingly valuable. Obi-dome made of natural wood and genuine lacquer are not produced in large quantities, so please consider this if you like them.
