The picture postcards have some overall yellowing, and the paper bag (wrapping paper) is in particularly good condition with no significant damage. (Please judge from the photos.) ■Size (per picture postcard): 14cm tall, 9cm wide. ■【Description of Yoshiji Hagiwara】Born in Aomori City and raised in Morioka, Yoshiji Hagiwara took over the family business of mounting and framing after graduating from elementary school, and at the same time, he began to teach himself to paint. Around the age of 20, he belonged to the Western-style painting group "Shichikosha" in Morioka and exhibited landscape paintings at the Shichikosha Exhibition. He committed suicide on April 3, 1957. For about 20 years after that, the name of Yoshiji was almost forgotten. However, in 1976, his close acquaintances brought together their collections and held a posthumous exhibition. He came to be recognized as a representative woodblock print artist of the early Showa period in Iwate, pursuing a unique world of self. Type...Picture Postcards
