※ Price reduced. I believe this is a set of table fabrics with incredibly delicate and precise embroidery. The most distinctive feature is the extremely thin base fabric! It's the thinnest I've ever seen. I've heard that the thinner the fabric, the more difficult the embroidery, but I don't know much about it other than that it's probably a hand-embroidered lace made in China. The technique appears to be similar to "drawn thread work," which uses gaps created by pulling threads to make openwork patterns, and "Hardanger embroidery," which involves counting the weave and stitching to create patterns. I believe I purchased this unused set about 30 years ago while traveling in China, but the number of coasters doesn't match, perhaps lost during long-term home storage. There are no noticeable stains or dirt, but there is some sun fading due to age. Please refer to the images and understand before purchasing.
