I am currently sorting through inherited items. Treasures from my grandfather's collection, who was an antique collector: matcha tea bowls, tea ceremony utensils, and antique art. I believe these items are quite old. There is a signature on the bottom. They were displayed on a decorative shelf in the tea room in the storehouse, so I believe they are quite valuable items. The beautiful curves from bottom to top, the sharp angles of the rim, and the clean chamfering of the base create a truly wonderful combination of curves and beautiful right angles. The pottery itself has a simple, slightly opaque glaze applied thinly, which doesn't detract from the beauty of the form. The name is also quite lovely, a refined and wonderful piece. Size: 14cm wide, 4.3cm high, a well-balanced summer matcha tea bowl. There is no box, but I will carefully pack and ship it.
