It is situated on the northeastern side of Miyajima (Itsukushima), an island in Hiroshima Bay, at the foot of Mount Misen (535m above sea level). Itsukushima is also known as "Aki no Miyajima" and is counted as one of the three most scenic spots in Japan. Famous for its faith from the Heike clan, the current large-scale shrine standing on the sea was established by Taira no Kiyomori. The shrine currently has 6 buildings designated as National Treasures, including the main hall, worship hall, and corridors, and 14 buildings designated as Important Cultural Properties. In addition, it houses numerous National Treasures and Important Cultural Property crafts, including the Heike Nokyo (Heike Sutras) donated by the Heike clan. This ema is a good luck zodiac ema from the Heisei Year of the Fire Boar (Heisei 19 / 2007), depicting a parent and child boar with pine, bamboo, and plum. *Recommended as a collector's item. *There are some faint scratches on both sides.
