We've long admired the work of Los Angeles-based designer Takuhiro Shinomoto, and we're impressed by his approach to ceramics, elevating everyday objects to the realm of art with Hasami Porcelain. The studio's name pays homage to the town of Hasami in Nagasaki Prefecture, Japan, where traditional porcelain production has continued for 400 years, dating back to the Edo period. This mug, characterized by its rough texture, harmonizes porcelain and clay with a matte finish, and its stackable design is irresistibly tactile.
