This is a valuable, made-in-Japan Squier Telecaster that has been, unbelievably, DIY refinished and had string-through body modification done (see photo 2). The string-through bushings are slightly misaligned...). Although the serial number is missing, I believe it is an E-serial from the 1980s. Alder body + Rosewood fingerboard The rosewood fingerboard is quite dark. The maple has some figuring. It's slightly clearer than in the photos. The finish is water-based stain + exotic gel (urethane) in see-through white. It's been about 10 years, so there are many scratches. The pickups are a Seymour Duncan Quarter Pound set, sound checked and confirmed. This pickup set alone is currently worth 35,000 yen, so I think it's a great deal. The bridge, pickguard, and neck plate have been replaced with genuine Fender Mex parts. String height is approximately 2mm on the 6th string and 1.5mm on the 1st string. The neck is set with a slight forward bow. The truss rod was slightly loosened during setup. The frets have about 70% life remaining, with some wear. I was thinking of having them leveled in about a year. ＊Photos before the modifications are also attached. ＊The strings will be removed, and the body and neck will be separated for shipping.
