I visited Yonaguni about three times. Yonaguni Island has a unique culture that differs from the other Yaeyama islands. I felt that every corner of the island was charming. The publisher of "History of Yonaguni" is the author's wife, Ms. Ikema Nae. I don't clearly remember when I bought the book, but I think I also visited the Yonaguni Folk Museum. Ms. Nae has passed away now, but she was the director of the Yonaguni Folk Museum even after she turned 100 years old. I heard that she felt the culture was disappearing early on, and she worked tirelessly to preserve the culture, such as compiling her own Yonaguni language dictionary. "History of Yonaguni" is a valuable book, and depending on the edition, it sells for over 10,000 yen as a collector's item on Amazon, and is also expensive in used bookstores. The book I am offering has been kept on the bookshelf unread since I bought it, and both the inside and outside are in beautiful condition.
