Magnetic release made of burl wood, which pairs well with fly fishing landing nets. The inside of the burl wood is hollowed out and fitted with a strong magnet, making it suitable for large landing nets (magnet strength: approx. 3.5kg). The diameter of the magnet contact surface is approximately 2cm. Can be used for items that are frequently removed, such as hook releases and fish grips. The included elastic cord is a bonus, but it is about 80cm long and rubbery, so it stretches to about 120cm when pulled. It is easy to use when connected to a pin-on reel or spiral cord (curl cord). [Impressions of using the same product] I attached a landing net size 38x30cm, weighing about 400g, to my back. It didn't come off even when walking and jumping in a rocky area of a mountain stream. However, there is no feeling that the magnet is too strong when removing it from my back. Nets with weak magnet strength sometimes fall off when jumping over large rocks, but it's reassuring to have strong strength. If you feel the magnet strength is too strong when attaching a small, lightweight net, you can weaken the strength by applying cellophane tape to the magnet surface. You can't make a weak one stronger, but I don't think it's a problem to have it strong. This product is sold in fishing tackle stores for around 2000 yen. It's a great value and very popular.
