The unit has significant discoloration, but the serial numbers match, so the exterior has not been replaced. Equipped with Fenrir PRO ODE, allowing games to be launched from a MicroSD card. Unlike the Fenrir ODE, this unit also retains the disc drive, allowing games to be launched from either CD-ROM or MicroSD (switch selectable). Games that require a dedicated cartridge or expansion RAM cartridge will function, but the cartridges are required. The internal battery has been replaced with a new one. SAROO, a similar device that plugs into the cartridge port, is said to only run about 70% of software correctly, while Fenrir is said to run 99% correctly. Falcom Classics II and Lunar MPEG versions (which require a movie card) that don't work with SAROO are also compatible. SAROO has synchronization issues with screen transitions, causing lines to be cut off or the background music to end before the next scene, but Fenrir does not have these issues. This unit cannot be used simultaneously with SAROO. Using SAROO will produce severe noise. It is unlikely to cause damage, but using SAROO to launch a game may result in slow frame rates or graphical glitches, so please do not use it. MicroSD card not included.
