I've been using this for a long time. There's one crack on the upper side when you open it, and a large crack on the back of the main body. As shown in the last photo, the bottom plate is slightly raised. Overall, there's a used feeling. I've cleaned off any dirt I could. I tried to clean it every time I used it. As mentioned above, there are some scratches, but it makes waffles and hot sandwiches beautifully.
