The buttonholes are hand-sewn. The 15oz Okayama nep denim is designed to evoke the rough, textured denim of the 1950s, and you can expect great fading. From my experience making about 100 leathercraft items, I use leathercraft rivets. I sew with a professional sewing machine using single stitching, which was common in 1950s workwear. Everything is sewn with thick #20 thread, the same used in leathercraft.
