This is a very stylish piece with a thousand lines created using a potter's wheel, and wave-patterned maki-e lacquer work. While the size is that of a soup bowl, I think it would be great for the upcoming New Year's sweet bean soup or zoni (New Year's mochi soup). It's made of wood and finished with Wajima-nuri, a type of genuine lacquerware. It has been used a few times, but there are no signs of burning. Please refrain from purchasing if you are overly concerned about minor details. I would appreciate it if you could use Eco-Mercari (a shipping option).
