It's slightly more substantial than sheeting and easy to handle, making it a great material for creating seasonal items like gift bags, drawstring bags, interior accessories, placemats, and pouches. Although it's imported fabric, it's made in Japan. It's a bit strange, but the reason is that imported fabrics are often produced in Japan, where there is a high level of quality, by overseas companies, then returned to the original country, and then re-imported by Japan.
