A hand-painted Art Deco trio from Crownford, England. Based on the backstamp, this item dates from 1920 (Taisho 9) to 1939 (Showa 14). The series name is "Moorland," depicting a scene of a stone circle in a unique British moorland, with spring flowers blooming and sprouting. Cup: 8.8 cm diameter, 7.5 cm height Saucer: 15 cm diameter Cake plate: 16.5 x 16.5 cm As this item is 100 years old, there are some signs of age, including crazing in the glaze, typical of ironstone pottery, and one instance of gold trim wear on the saucer (see photo 6). There is a small chip on the bottom of the cup (photo 7) and a manufacturing speck on the cake plate (photo 8). The colors of the painting are vibrant, and the pottery has a good luster. While in good condition for an antique, the price has been set considering the above points.
