This is a work by Takeho Murata, a master craftsman of Tosa. Mr. Murata is certified as a Tosa artisan with excellent skills. Despite the black finish, the forging marks are not noticeable, and the surface is smooth, revealing his skill. Mr. Murata's knives are known for their excellent edge retention and sharpness. This is an old item purchased a while ago, and it is completely unused, with no sharpening done. This series is no longer in production, and it is impossible to obtain a new one. It is said that this old-style Hyakuren knife has undergone more forging than the works from the original planning and sales source.
