Kotake Musical Instrument Manufacturing Co. started making clarinets and flutes in the Itabashi ward of Tokyo in the 1950s (founder Suehiro Kotake). It was a musical instrument maker that produced carefully crafted, high-quality flutes. It was a group manufacturer of Prima Musical Instruments and was also sold at Yamano Music. Production ended in the early 2000s. After acquisition, I disassembled and inspected it, and cleaned and polished the body and keys. I also checked the condition of the pads. There is discoloration due to age, but I didn't find any tears or damage. I applied key oil and made adjustments during assembly. I did a simple sound check.
