New Nishijin-ori Fukuro Obi (Japanese Brocade) in the Kinkazan-ori style. Kinkazan-ori is a type of Warina-ori (loop weave). After weaving, thick threads are used for the weft in the patterned areas. These thick threads are then removed, causing the warp threads to form loops. These loops, or warina, create a unique woven texture, giving the obi a special presence. This obi is suitable for formal wear such as visiting kimonos, solid-colored kimonos, and formal kimonos with patterns on the lower half.
