This is a goshuin (temple stamp) from the Yanaka Shichifukujin (Seven Lucky Gods). The Yanaka Shichifukujin pilgrimage is the most historic Seven Lucky Gods pilgrimage in Tokyo. Pilgrims walk to seven temples from JR Tabata Station to Ueno Station. Yanaka is entirely comprised of temples. It is very rare because you can only collect goshuin on this special hand-printed washi paper during the period from January 1st to 10th. It is said that by visiting the Seven Lucky Gods, seven misfortunes are removed and seven blessings are bestowed. How about it for warding off evil, praying for success, improving fortune, prosperity in business, longevity, and a temple and shrine collection?
