The Jesus and Mary Chain is a British rock band. Commonly known as JizaMeri or JAMC. Formed in Scotland in 1984 by brothers Jim (younger) and William (older) Reid. They released six albums from the mid-1980s to the end of the 90s, and their sound, which fused punk, noise, and pop, influenced later alternative rock bands such as the Pixies[1]. They were in a state of disbandment from 1999, but resumed activities in 2007.
