This is a very rare Summicron lens cap with lettering. The front has the usual Leica engraving. You rarely see these for sale online, but a shop in Chiba Prefecture that specializes in rare Leica products seems to have sold them in the past, paired with a thorium Summicron under a million serial number. The front has scratches and signs of use. The back also shows dents on the surface and some corrosion around the velvet lining. The condition isn't great, but it's something you won't easily find. How about it? This is a genuine Leica E39 cap. It should fit the following lenses, but it's likely a match for the "collapsible" Summicron from the 920,000 serial number range.
