The age is at least the early 1960s. This model is believed to have been produced before that, as there is a photo of Martin Luther King Jr. wearing it in 1963. (The fabric has the feel of the late 1950s.) The condition is excellent, as evidenced by the natural patina (verdigris) on the chest buttons, and it can be considered in mint condition.
