This is a set of a tokkuri (sake bottle) and a guinomi (sake cup) made by "Jindo Okyo," a master of Bizen-yaki (Bizen pottery) and a master of the hobin (teapot). Mr. Jindo is a Bizen-yaki artist from Okayama Prefecture, and was recognized as an Important Intangible Cultural Property Holder of Okayama Prefecture in 1954. He specializes in elaborate modeling and delicate decoration, and expresses his unique aesthetic sense while inheriting the traditions of Bizen-yaki.
