From a layman's perspective, there are no noticeable scratches on either the front or back, and I believe it is in a condition that is better than gem-mint. (However, there are minor glitter marks that are characteristic of early cards, which have been present since the card was opened). To be honest, I believe that a Yu-Gi-Oh! This card was actually pulled directly from a Yu-Gi-Oh! OCG vol.1 pack in 1999, and I stored it in a double sleeve immediately. It was stored without ever being touched until it was submitted for ARS grading, so it is actually an unused item.
