Thank you for viewing. This is a chicken-shaped kogo (incense container). It has been used very little, but there are numbers and what appears to be markings from a marker on the box. Approximately 8cm tall. A small, lidded container for storing fragrances such as fragrant wood or kneaded incense. It is used in the tea ceremony as one of the tea utensils, and also as a Buddhist altar fitting.
