This is a remake of an antique kimono (thin cotton, brown) after being unpicked and home-cleaned. The color-blocked sections (navy) are Oshima Tsumugi silk. The remade item is unused. Size: Body length: 88cm (from back collar seam down) Body width: 60cm (underarm to underarm) Sleeve length: 53cm (including drop) Cuff circumference: 27cm (no opening in the cuffs) * Approximate measurements. Please allow for slight variations. No pockets, no lining. The body length is divided into three sections to create a cocoon silhouette. ♦ Defect: * There are some weaving flaws. (Photos 8, 16) * In several places, the weaving threads appear to be cut, creating holes of about 2-3mm. (Photos 9-12) * Adhesive interfacing (about 2cm) has been applied to the back for reinforcement (Photo 14. 4 places on the body, 2 places on the left sleeve). Although the material costs and labor are the same, the price has been set slightly lower due to the "defect."
