1950s Hard Plastic Original box included. This Coca-Cola Route Service figure, both the hard plastic and composition versions, often has many questionable items. The body and clothing are frequently combinations of original and reproduction parts, a common occurrence in both Japan and the United States. Evaluating authenticity is particularly difficult with the costumes unless you are extremely knowledgeable. This figure, including the clothing, is a full original from about 70 years ago. The clothing was cleaned upon acquisition and is very clean. The brim of the hat was cracked and has been repaired. The brims of old buddy figures are almost always damaged. Good examples were still somewhat available about 20 years ago, but they are almost impossible to find now. The original box is very valuable, and it's rare to find one remaining; I only have two.
