This is a hand-wound wristwatch, "Takano Chateau Superior," manufactured around 1960. Takano was a rare domestic watch manufacturer that ceased production after only 4 years and 11 months. I received this watch about 30 years ago. It was running, with the time set and wound periodically, until about 5 years ago, but it stopped working because I overwound it, and it became impossible to wind it clockwise. When I wind it counterclockwise or set the time, the second hand moves for about 5-6 seconds. The band is embossed crocodile leather, and the buckle is nickel silver, which I attached about 2 years ago. Since it is currently not working, it requires repair or is suitable for collection.
