This is inventory from the time my mother-in-law ran a kimono shop. I heard that the Chin-sui komon (fine patterned kimono) was considered the best and was famous, and I found an article about it when I searched. The shop is no longer in business. I have included the article in the last image for reference. The author of the article, Kimiko Tomizawa, was apparently active in the editorial department of "Utsukushii Kimono" (Beautiful Kimono) magazine. The fabric is heavy and sturdy. 750 Over 13 meters The images seem a bit reddish. Based on color dictionaries, I think it's closest to "akane-iro" (madder red). The color may vary slightly depending on the device you are viewing it on, but I have also included a color sample of akane-iro in the images. The bottom four images are probably closer to the actual color. It is a very beautiful and wonderful item. When I first listed it, I priced it high, reflecting its value and rarity. However, rather than just being occasionally admired by us, I would prefer it to be worn by someone who loves it... I may not be able to accept extremely low offers, but I've put a question mark to indicate that I'm open to finding a good deal for both the seller and the buyer, so please send a request if you are interested. The area below "Chin-sui made" is in poor condition, but it's a part that won't affect the finished kimono, so I've marked it as having no scratches or stains. Otherwise, it is very clean.
