Over 20 years ago, before there was a Staub distributor in Japan, I acquired this item new from a specialty store in Tokyo that imported them directly. I don't remember seeing it anywhere else, so it's probably a very rare item. I'm offering it at a considerable discount. Due to its weight and size, shipping costs will be significant, so please understand that I cannot offer a large discount. It's a large and impressive pot, with a maximum diameter of 37cm and nearly 50cm including the handles. Staub may currently sell new color pots with similar glass lids, but I haven't seen this type on European websites. It seems that this kind of impressive wok is no longer sold. The lid is made of lightweight iron, and the pot itself is made of Staub's familiar cast iron. Perhaps due to its shape, it doesn't feel as heavy as other Staub pots and is easy to handle, but you probably can't shake it. It comes with a frying net (with some rust). The included wooden spatula and chopsticks are unused. There is a Japanese and multi-language instruction manual (with folds, readable but damaged). I couldn't find the original box, so I will ship it in a box that fits the size. Condition: ◼︎(Image 8) I noticed during inspection that one of the screws securing the wooden handle is missing. I hadn't noticed it before and it hasn't been a problem, but please refrain from purchasing if you are concerned (it seems a standard short screw could be used as a replacement). ◼︎I polished the entire pot with baking soda, but there are some unremovable burnt marks on the bottom. It shows signs of use, but it is in usable condition. Please refrain from purchasing if you are concerned. I haven't used it in years. I hope someone who is looking for this, loves Staub, loves cooking, or has a large family will find it useful. Staub pots are used in high-end restaurants and are well-received, but you won't find a restaurant that serves food in a pot like this. It will surprise and impress those who know about it, even at parties. I hope someone who needs it can use it and enjoy it.
