This is a BIG MUFF Ram's Head clone with an added OCTAVE function. The OCTAVE circuit is based on the Earthquaker Devices Tentacle. The octave is activated with the right switch only when the FUZZ is ON. It's recommended to use the classic upper octave for playing above the 12th fret. The BIG MUFF circuit is based on the Ram's Head period, with the addition of a MID control and a BASS toggle switch (which boosts the low frequencies when switched on). The Ram's Head circuit constants are achieved with the MID knob at around 2 o'clock and the BASS switch down. Turning the MID knob to around 11 o'clock and the BASS switch up gives a Russian Muff-like sound. The octave function of the Tentacle works well with it, making it a quite useful pedal. Point-to-point wiring on a universal board. True bypass. A 9VDC center-negative adapter can be used for power. The enclosure is MXR size and is hand-painted, so please be aware that paint chipping may occur. In the unlikely event of any defects upon arrival, we will handle returns or free repairs.
