It was released in Japan on November 27, 1998, as the first of the sixth-generation consoles. It was the industry's first home video game console with full-fledged online communication features. It came standard with a modem for internet communication, allowing users to browse websites with a browser and enjoy various services that facilitated communication between people through games and chat. I have confirmed basic operation with software. I was able to confirm that all buttons respond normally. There seems to be poor contact between the Dreamcast console and the controller connection.
