The light turns on and the brush rotates without issue when the head is placed on the floor. It was compatible with models such as PV-BHL1000J, PV-BHL1000J1, PV-BHL2000J, and PV-BHL3000J, but I believe it should be compatible with other models as well. I have performed a basic cleaning, but please understand that this is a used item and some scratches and dirt may remain.
