It would be nice if they would come to the surface, but what do you do when they are just below the surface? Here's a suggestion: How about fishing with a horizontal swing just below the surface? This fly has a slender body, so if you mend it well, you can swing it almost vertically. If you have time, you might want to practice at a managed fishing area before the season opens. Also, it can be used for Tenkara fishing in headwaters in midsummer. This is a set of 10 flies, 2 of each color. The flies will be shipped in the case shown in the photo.
