This is a homemade fishing rig for kiss (Japanese whiting). Please use this for light surf fishing in areas where fish with sharp teeth, such as pufferfish and kūsen (Japanese wrasse), are not present. If you are fishing in areas where pufferfish or kūsen are likely to be caught, I also offer rigs with protective tubing to prevent the line from being cut. These are a bit more expensive, but I recommend purchasing those instead. How to use: Unravel the rig by passing the swivel through the other side twice. After unraveling, pull the entire rig with enough force to remove any kinks in the line, but not enough to break it. Unlike nylon or fluorocarbon lines, this will remove the line memory, allowing the rig to straighten. Then, set up the rig and use it. The main feature is that both the main line and the leader use ester leader material. Because the leader has some stiffness, it is less likely to tangle, and any kinks in the line can be removed by pulling with a certain amount of force. Also, the total length is 70cm, which is short, making it less likely to tangle and easier to handle. Furthermore, you don't need to set the hook; just reel in slowly, and the fish should hook itself. Regarding the catch, I have included four photos of the fish caught by my sixth-grade son on September 20th using the same rig.
