It had been watching over people's safety for many years, but after the reunification of East and West Germany, it was destined to end its role. However, a movement to "Save Ampelmann!" was started by citizens who loved the familiar Ampelmann, and it was spared from being abolished. Now, as a symbol of traffic safety, it has a strong following from fans all over the world. The dial diameter is approximately 32mm, the thickness is approximately 10mm, and the belt width is approximately 20mm (please consider this as a reference as it is amateur measurement). The yellow dial has a cute design with the traffic signal mark rotating as a second hand. The belt is fastened with Velcro and even has a reflector, befitting a symbol of traffic safety.
