RIMOWA Rimowa 940.50 TOPAS/Topas "Lufthansa" TSA 2-Wheel Slim Pilot Trolley Discontinued Final Model 36L Silver ■This is a vintage RIMOWA Topas 940.50, a Lufthansa-specification 2-wheel pilot trolley. It's a 36L pilot model with a TSA combination lock. ●This is the final 2-wheel model of the pilot trolley, the most popular aluminum case from RIMOWA, and was only available in Germany. It's a bit narrower, making it easier to maneuver in aircraft and train aisles. ●Especially for the pilot trolley size, the 2-wheel design is superior for business use, as it doesn't roll away on its own like a 4-wheel model, and is easier to handle (in my opinion). The risk of damage is clearly smaller, and the 2-wheel design is a strong ally for business travelers who can't choose their destination, as it can handle rough roads like cobblestones, slopes, and muddy paths. Unlike 4-wheel models, which only act as stoppers in the snow, you can also pull it like a sled (personal experience). ●The exterior has a well-worn, tasteful oxide film unique to aluminum, with scuff marks and minor scratches from use, mainly on the bottom corners. However, it's a pilot case with an overall clean form, without any major noticeable scratches, severe abrasions, or large dents. It's in functionally good condition, with no problems with the wheels, telescopic handle, or fittings. The interior is lined with the LH monogram, with some peeling of double-sided tape on the edge of the telescopic opening and some fraying/holes on the bottom (not visible when a liner is placed), but there is no damage that would interfere with use. ■The latches are two TSA combination locks, one on each side.
