This is a goshuin (temple stamp) from Tamaki Shrine, the inner sanctuary of the Kumano Sanzan, a sacred site in Totsukawa Village, Yoshino District, Nara Prefecture. It is located at the foot of Mt. Tamaki (1076m), one of the sacred mountains of the Omine mountain range. It is a World Heritage site on the Omine Okugake Road, also a World Heritage site. It is said that only those who are called by the gods can go to this shrine. It takes about 3 hours by car from Osaka, and a 20-minute walk from the parking lot to the main shrine. It's truly a deep mountain area. Regarding the goshuin, in 2024, to commemorate the 20th anniversary of its World Heritage registration, special goshuin are being issued at various locations, including the Kumano Sanzan.
