Please read the profile. I purchased this at a kasuri shop on the approach to Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine about 10 years ago. I was planning to have a kimono made, but recently I haven't had many opportunities to wear kimonos, so I'm offering it for sale in the hope that someone will like it. This is a valuable piece by Tatsuo Ogawa, who is designated as a holder of Important Intangible Cultural Property of the country, among Kurume Kasuri. Although it's difficult to convey in the photos, I am impressed by the indigo color, which is truly a work of Mr. Ogawa. The white of the well-shaped pattern that accentuates the indigo navy color is very beautiful. The indigo color is a deeper, richer indigo than in the photos. I've compared it in the last photo so you can see the difference in the indigo color. For reference... This is my favorite among the fabrics I currently own, so I may suddenly remove it from sale.
