A set of three sometsuke (underglaze blue) flat plates from the late Edo to Meiji periods. Hand-painted. The rims appear to have been made using a simple sumi-hiki (ink-repelling) technique, though the period is later. There are age-related scratches on the foot rings, but no chips or cracks. One plate has a small kiln flaw (chip) on the inside. Diameter: 21.5cm Height: 3.5cm
