This is a large Izushi-yaki tokkuri (sake bottle) boldly decorated with chrysanthemums and dragonflies, and another large tokkuri of unknown origin, beautifully depicting delicate wild chrysanthemums. Both feature chrysanthemums, but they are works with completely opposite atmospheres. Both were purchased from an antique shop about 35-36 years ago and were displayed in a Japanese-style room when the season came. They are quite old items, but the bottoms have some discoloration, though they are in relatively good condition. There are some glaze runs and color skips from the time of manufacture, but there are no cracks, chips, or major scratches. Overall, I think they are beautiful, but as they have been stored at home, I would appreciate it if you could understand this. Please refrain from purchasing if you are concerned about minor details.
