The obi fabric is orthodox cotton with a wax-resist dyed batik fabric, featuring an all-over pattern, with accent patterns at the tare-saki (the end of the obi that hangs down) and the te-saki (the end of the obi that is tied). This is a very cute and popular batik obi, perfect for pairing with tsumugi or cotton. This one is also very cute, but it's discounted due to a flaw. ! The obi core is very stiff, (I can't see it, so I don't know what it is, but) it feels like cardboard. It seems that it will look fine once tied, and there will be no visual problems, but it will be quite difficult to handle, or perhaps impossible to tie, if you use a tight tying method. This is for those who can adapt with a method that doesn't involve tying, or who can overcome the issue with some ingenuity.
